Wal-Mart strikes again with a sippy cup.

by kellys on August 9th, 2006

Sometimes, it just seems like money runs through our fingers in our household. I went to Wal-Mart today to get lotion and a sippy cup for my daughter. Once again, I found other things that I needed and walked out of there with $55 worth of junk… soap, lotion, animal crackers, etc… It’s like an addiction with necessary reoccurrences. I mean, we have to have soap and lotion. It’s just like the woodpeckers on the boat in the picture. Just when you think you are safe from the rising water (costs of life) here comes the woodpeckers (Wal-Mart).

Isn’t that the truth? I rarely walk out of Wally World having spent less than $50…especially if my husband or kids are along.

It’s true I went in there the other day looking for cheap sewing thread. They do have the cheapest price around when it comes to thread and fabric.

I was walking around after thinking about how I had seen in the One Step Ahead catalog a foldable toilet seat for my little girl who is absolutely terrified to go on the toilet with out her little potty seat. Anyways, I am thinking I need one of the foldable one’s for my purse when I literally bumped into a display in the aise….what did the display hold…Dora foldable training seats!!

Walmart I think is going to take over the world! They are obviously already reading people’s minds.

    Weird, very weird!

Somehow I don’t have this problem as much…I take my kids along and tell my six year old what we’re there to get and tell him to remind me if i’m looking at something not on the list–usually he reminds me, “That’s not on our list, Mommy!”
