Take Advantage of Prescription Coupons
Did you know that some pharmacies offer coupon incentives to gain your business? The stores that I’ve seen do this are Target and Rite Aid, but I’m sure there are others participating.
Basically, the store puts a coupon in their Sunday flyer that gives you a $10 gift card with a new or transferred prescription. When you get your new or transferred prescription filled, you just give the cashier your coupon and she’ll give you back a $10 gift card for that store. FYI - You cannot use the coupon with government backed prescription programs such as Medicaid or Medicare.
Once you get your $10 gift card, you can use it towards other purchases in the store!!! My mom uses the Target coupons to get the gift cards. Sometimes she’ll send them to my kids to use as a special treat. In return, I always send her my Target prescription coupons. By the way, there was a Target prescription coupon in the sales paper last week and it doesn’t expire until June 9.

Kmart does this too, but not as often as Target.

CVS runs the prescription coupons almost every other month.If not in newspapers look on internet.You will surely get it.Right now they have a $25 coupon for New or transferred prescription.

Walgreens also does these every so often. The gift card amount ranges from $20-$25. Also, our King Soopers grocery store (a division of Kroger and City Market) does a 20.00 gift card with new or transferred prescriptions.

I used the $10 Target one. I have the $20 Kroger coupon, too. It doesn’t expire until August, so I’m going to wait a few weeks and transfer my scrip to Kroger so I can get $20 there, too!
