I got this in an email and I verified it so I thought I would pass it on.
As you may know, Easter is always the 1st Sunday after the 1st full moon after the Spring Equinox (which is March 20). This dating of Easter is based on the lunar calendar that Hebrew people used to […]

Save Big On Easter Items

Today I stopped by Dollar General and their Easter items were 75% off.  Look at all the stuff I got for $1.75.  I also got my preschool class a bag of 70 lollipops for 25 cents.  Now that I think of it, why didn’t I buy the other bag?
I am saving the stuffed animals for […]

Easter Activities

Usually when a holiday comes around, I do at least one post on fun activities to do with your kids.   Yes, I did post A Natural Way to Dye Eggs, but I didn’t give you a whole list of ideas.  I’m sorry.  I’m not quite sure what happened this time.
Thankfully, my friend Revka at “Little […]

A Natural Way to Dye Eggs

I remember being in 4th grade.  We had to give “how to” speeches in front of the class.  One girl gave a speech on how to dye eggs using natural things from your kitchen.  My mom and I tried it right away.
Some suggested items for dyeing eggs are onion skins, red cabbage, coffee, beets, and tumeric.  […]

Thrifty Deals on Spring Dresses

I was in T.J. Maxx today looking for a bedset for my daughter.  (No luck, by the way.)  While I was there I spotted some beautiful Easter/Spring dresses.  I saw some dresses priced as low as $9.99.  There was a particular dress that I found to be very nice and it was only $24.99.
Another place […]

The Easter Bunny is not the best idea for keeping your fridge full.

OK, I have a girlfriend that sends me stuff all the time. Sometimes, she even sends me stuff that I laugh at. This one just happened to make me smile since I will have to shop for EAster dinner and I don’t think a bunny should be on the menu. I am […]

Easter cards can make a great game for your kids while teaching them to be thrifty with their money.

Can you tell that Easter is on my mind?  Tomorrow is Good Friday and I already have lots of Easter cards.  My family and friends are great about sending holiday cards.  I, on the other hand, am horrible about sending any kind of cards.  Besides, not that I am ungrateful, what do you inevitably do […]
