Something Funny for Wednesday
Well, only one more day until Thanksgiving. I’m guessing that most of you have the supplies you’ll need.
I have one more tip for you before the big day. Cook whatever you can the night before . . . even the turkey.
Yesterday at work we had our Thanksgiving meal with the kids, parents, and grandparents. The night before, I cooked two turkeys in my roasting oven, sliced and picked them (which I hate), and then I took the meat I had and put it back in the roasting pan in the juice that was left. Today I just turned on the roaster and warmed the turkey. The juice made the turkey so tender! I was impressed.
Also, make whatever casseroles you can the day ahead. I usually make my sweet potato casserole the night before. You can get my recipe here.
Some of you may enjoy making all your food the day of the event. I think that making some food the day before will definitely cut down on your frustration and timeline and will probably help you to enjoy more time with your family.
Ok, here’s your funny for today. I hope you’ll come back tomorrow for another.
