Some sales are not a good deal
You know how much I like
- Spend $25, save 5%
- Spend $50, save 10%
- Spend $150, Save 15%
Personally, I just want ta good deal with a consistant discount no matter how much I buy. This is just another way to get you to spend a lot more money than you really need to. So be careful of the type of sale that even the best of stores run.

I got lured into the Gymboree rip off when my DD was first born. We didn’t have much for her and they had a deal where you could buy $50 and get a gift card towards your next purchase. I look at that stuff now and I’m like ‘Why in the world did I do that?’. Thankfully, I have learned my lesson.
Another thing that really annoys me are the MVP, frequent shopper, etc cards. If you want to give me a sale, then give it to me. Don’t make me have another silly card!!!

I agree with your post in general, but on one occasion I have used this to my advantage. Lane Bryant has a semi-annual sale. That is when I will use their gift check. If I make a $75 purchase, I will receive $25 off. I stock up on necessities and end up paying about 1/3 what I would normally pay for each item. I guess the trick is not to buy just because it’s a “good deal.” Spending money you don’t have for something you don’t need is never a good deal.

I prefer some other sites like http://www.BabyDirect.com that have a flat rate shipping and do not require any minimum.
