Saving money with a grocery list
So this week, I got online and found my wonderful Taste of Home website. They have a great low fat section as well. So I went online and picked out 5 recipes I wanted to try this week. They were Makeover Chicken Delight, Makeover Spinach Tuna Casserole, Mexican Shrimp bisque (shrimp is on sale this week), Asparagus Beef Lo Mien, and Southwestern Bean Soup. So, once I figured out what we were eating this week, I sat down and made out my list. I also went throughout the house and figured out what I was running low on. Then I looked at my coupons. Now I am going to the store today and will have a menu made out for this week. This is how you save money grocery shopping. Make your list and stick to it. NO IMPULSE BUYING!!! That is where you get in trouble.
Thrifty shopping…

I almost always go with a list but rarely follow it. But last week I planned our menus, looked in the pantry and made a list. I spent about half of what I normally do (buying stuff on sale) and I didn’t have to make 3 extra little trips to the neighborhood market. Planning and sticking to the plan really do help. It just takes a little effort and foresight.

Yeah, it’s that effort and foresight that bite me in the butt every time… Guess I’ll never be supermom!
