Hey Karen-
So just what is chaffing fuel? Really I haven’t a clue. Chaffing to me- means the little red marks toddlers get from their diapers rubbing when they walk… Never heard of chaffing fuel- it sound cheap. I wonder if I could use it to run a mini van, because gas is killing me. It’s $3.20 something here.

lol Michelle. They’re to put under dishes that you want to keep warm. It’s a jelly type substance that you light like a candle and you put them under silver chaffing dishes. I know, weird word.

Got it now when you described them- most potlucks I go to don’t use those, they use electric dutch ovens with water to warm stuff- which mainly means brats or sausage in Wisconsin. They don’t chafe food here.
My Mom said when she was a kid her Dad used to threaten to tan her hide (he never did though- my Grandfather was a kind man.) So I was thinking when I start threatening my kids with air and idle threats I will say…
“Don’t make me chafe your dish!”
