Quick and easy ways to save money without even thinking about it.
Anybody like throwing money away? I sure don’t. But how do you save money without feeling like you are pinching too hard on that penny? I like to use my cookie jar. I put all my loose change in it and roll the coins at the end of the year, or whenever I am needing a quick deal and don’t have any money. I usually end up with over $100 each year in loose change. For most families, the total is much higher. I also like paying half my mortgage every 2 wks. On my last house, this payment method saved us over $30k over the life of our loan. Now that is a savings I can live with!
But if you think about it, there are many more ways to save money without really working at it. Parents.com has a great article on ways that people get your money without you even realizing it and how you can make more money without having to work at it. For instance, did you know that if you ask your credit card company to lower your rate, they usually do. Or did you ever think of moving your savings account to a bank that has higher rates?
