Perdue Perfect Portions

by Karen on January 23rd, 2008

I hate touching raw meat.  I hate uneven chicken breasts that don’t cook well.  I also hate having to cut off fat and tendons.

The first time I cooked the breasts I baked them in the oven using a cuban sauce.  My husband (who prefers red meat) said, “Now this is how chicken is supposed to taste.”  Yay!  Score!  I made more of these for my parents this weekend.  This time I made oven fried chicken.

The Perduce Perfect Portions are perfect for small families or singles.  I was thinking just how great they would be for a college student who is trying to be thrifty and cook for themselves, but doesn’t want to waste food.

Perdue has recipe suggestions on their website.  You’ll also find food handling tips and other helpful information.

Have you tried the Perdue Perfect Portions?

I love Perdue Perfect Portions. I just discovered them about 2 weeks ago. I bought them because they were on sale and I had a coupon (of course!). Anyway, I ALWAYS forget to defrost meat in the morning for that evening’s dinner and with Perdue Perfect Portions, it can go straight from the freezer to the oven…and no prep involved! Just snip open with scissors and it is ready in about 15-20. It is even easy to pop just 1 in for a healthy lunch. :)
