Thrifty Mommy

Parenting the thrifty way.

by kellys on August 10th, 2006

I have a good friend that has multiple teenagers.  That will be me in a few years, 2 or 3 teenagers running around with all kinds of problems.  Sometimes being a frugal mommy means rearranging my schedule.  I look at my little girl and wonder what kind of struggles she will have.  Will she be a happy girl or totally unhappy with life?  Will she like hanging out with her parents or will she rebel and like staying out with her friends?  I am praying that the best way to keep our kids home and happy is spending time.  The best and hardest way to have regular time with them is to have dinner together.  Make sure to set aside time to spend with your kids.  This will save you heartache and time spent worrying about your kids and what they are doing.  Don’t get me wrong.  I think parents will worry about their kids.  But with a little effort, I hope our kids will always know we need time with them as much as they need time with us.  Talk to your kids.  They really want to hear what you have to say.

Hang in there, girlfriend.  Your kids will be ok in the end.
