Mattel recalls Dora, Diego, and Elmo toys for lead

by kellys on August 14th, 2007

Mattel has recalled hundreds of thousand sof toys for high levels of lead.  All the toys originated from China.  Most of them were Dora, Diego, and Elmo toys.  I just heard on the news that they will announce another recall in the next hour.  I would give a list but thereis over 80+ toys on the list and I didn’t want to drown you today.  So go over to the toy recall list at Mattel and see if you have any toys that are on it.  If you do, just call Fisher Price and return the toy.  You will receive a voucher for the price of the toy that you returned and you can use it to purchase any other toy you want.

Stay tuned for the newest recall as soon as it comes out.

All the recalls on toys and food is getting so out of hand! I was at Food Lion a few days ago and saw they are recalling a bunch of Castleberry chili and Food Lion brand chili.

We have some of the toys listed, but I think it’s only for toys made this year.

I am just thankful that someone is looking out for our kids. You just never think that the toys you buy would be harmful to your kids.

Just now getting around to posting a message. My 3 year old daughter has everything Dora and Diego, and right after the toy recall I got a call from her doctor letting me know that she has a high level of lead in her blood so we have been having to go back and forth to doctor to get more test ran and now I’ve talked with my lawyer and we our prepared to take the next step. Had my daughter not gonna lead I would have simiply sent the toys back, but its too late for that now. Best wishes to all and if your children had the toys it might not be a bad idea for you to have them tested for lead.

Is it just me or is this really scary. What a way for china to attack us. They are trying to poison are future. They are acting like they had know clue but how smart. Instead of bombs lets poison the future. Just something to think about.
