Mass cooking is a very popular habit.
I have mentioned before about cooking a lot at one time and then freezing it. This works great for a friend of mine. She sometimes cooks for over 50 people at a time when her church has a large function. I found another really good article that makes this frugal time saver look easy. Does anybody do this kind of cooking?

Cooking is my biggest downfall in the summer. I am cooking machine in the winter but it is cold in NH and I love having the stove going warming the house. In the summer I just want quick and easy and hardly ever plan menus.
Shame on me!!

Girl, if that is the worst thing you do in the summer, I applaud you! My favorite thing in the summer is a summer dinner, or all veggies fresh from the garden. Or in my case, the farmer’s market when I haven’t been to my mother-in-law’s garden. It’s cheap and delicious.

I sometimes try and cook double what we need for dinner and freeze the 2nd half for another day. Only problem is, my husband can eat like a horse, and sometimes the 2nd half is missing from the pot when I got to freeze it later!!! He’s a bit like a hobbit … 2nd dinner, 3rd dinner etc!

I usually try to do the same but we inevitably never have leftovers. That might be one reason why we are over our ideal weight. BOOHOO!
