High Gasoline prices call for thrifty measures.

by kellys on March 31st, 2006

hybrid.jpgAnybody seen the latest gas prices? I paid $2.49/gallon today. It seems like only yesterday, or last month, I paid $1.89 and was excited. There has got to be a better way to save money than to waist it on gas. Here are a few tips from our good friend, Pat, at Frugal living for saving money on gas.

  • Carpool
  • Avoid Hard Driving, stopping, and starting
  • If it’s within walking distance – WALK (I’d probably loose a few pounds)

I am very interested in Hybrid cars as well. Maybe the DH and I will look into the new hybrid 4×4’s in a few years when they fall into our budget. We have to have 4 wheel drive where we live. However, the new Honda Accord hybrid looks pretty tempting.

You all are soooo good. :) I was stopping by to comment on HOW DISGUSTING THE GAS PRICES ARE, I don’t understand why the have gone back up. Someone is making some extra good money here, I think.

yes, I paid $2.55 a gallon yesterday. It just keeps rising. I guess not much we can do about it.
I guess I could get a car instead of my 4×4 bronco.

I am amazed at how quickly it goes up. On my way to Wal-Mart, URGHHHH!!!, it will be one price and then when I am on my way home, it has gone up again. The other thing that gets me is that it is more expensive right off the interstate. Check out my latest post.
