Halo 3 is out!
I can’t believe it! Halo 3 is out and I have no idea what all the fuss is about. My DH went to the store and waited until 12:01 to get his copy of the game. I will never understand the fascination of the game. My girlfriend’s husband actually takes time off from work when the last one came out and took 2 days off this time. It can be an addiction. But when I look at what my husband could be doing, like drinking, smoking, or going to bars, I am so thankful that he is home and having a clean, healthy time.
I say that because he also plays to keep up with friends. He is able to talk to friends all over the country and hang out with a friend that is stationed in Korea. It’s a heck of a lot cheaper than talking to them on the phone. Especially the friend in Korea. I am so grateful that my DH wants to play a game and is not afraid to play it in front of me. That way, I know he isn’t hiding anything and I can see who he is playing with. People at work make inappropriate comments as to what he might actually be doing but I know who he is playing with and where he is. I feel blessed and am glad my husband is at home. He even saves money with his games. How lucky am I ?!?!

I completely agree with your post! It’s a little different for me and my husband, though. I’ve been playing video games for years, and when I met my husband, he got me into the second Halo. This time around, though, we were able to stand in line together - for OUR copy of the Legendary edition!
:) Here’s to good clean fun, and plenty of it!

Congratulations to you both! I am not allowed to play any games since it leads me to curse. I am doing so much better.

I am so agreeing with post! We didnt get the preorder in for the game, and hubby was perfectly content to wait to get it. I just happened to be at Target and they had like 50 copies on a shelf. So after a quick call to hubby, I ended up getting it for him!

It’s good that you recognize and support his need for some leisure. Some wives don’t entirely understand that their husbands do need some time to simply recreate. I’m not a gamer, but there are times when if I want to relax in front of my computer for a few minutes, I literally have to sneak out of the room and when I get back go through that same “Where were you?” “You know exactly where I was” argument with my wife. It’s good that you give your husband time, even with you in the room, to relax and do something he enjoys.

He gives me the same so why not? Besides, he works really hard to alllow me to stay home 5 days a week. I only have to work outside my home 2 days a week. I see it as a small way to say thank you. I don’t, however, agree with a husband that plays games as soon as he walks in the door and doesn’t help out around the house or with the kids at all. I am not for single parenting because of a video game. There is a fine line and I am one of the lucky one’s whose husband’s understands that line.
