Frugal Challenge Saturday
Hey everyone! How’s it going? Last weekend, we talked about cooking a meal for only $10. This weekend, I have laundry on the brain. Karen and I must be thinking alike. So the frugal challenge for Today is doing your laundry without getting backed up. Frugal is sometimes time related. I find that the main reason I get backed up is the fact that I hate to put it up. If you have little ones, they can’t help but if you have older kids, just place their clothes on their beds and make them put their clothes up themselves. They will only have to be missing their favorite shirt once or twice from stuffing it under the bed instead of the closet to start putting their clothes up themselves.
The other thing that helps me keep up with laundry is keeping a place to hang up clothes after they come out of the dryer. This also saves me from having to iron a lot. In my old house, I had a clothes rack standing right by my dryer that I used. It cost $5 from Big Lots.
The last thing is to do a load a day if you have enough. I don’t but every other day would work for me. This is probably my biggest weakness.
So how are you with getting the laundry caught up? Do you find that it’s not a problem or do you struggle? Talk to you later.

I currently live in Europe, and I do a load a day when there is enough… or every other day … but with my athlete husband and a four month old baby, we always seem to have a load, and we hang our clothes to dry (no dryer but the wind for us!).

First of all, I have to tell you that I tried the taco salad recipe! We loved it. In fact, we had leftovers today for lunch (you were right — having it as leftovers was even better)
Ok, now on to laundry . . that is my weakness, too. I only do it one day a week, but I NEED to do it every day so it doesn’t take me all day long to do it. (There’s five of us — the munchkins are ages 4, 2 & 9 mo.)

kellybstampin, I am glad you liked the recipe. It’s our fave. My 2 year old even eats it with a smile. I can’t imagine how far behind I would be with 5 in the family. Right now I have 3, one of the way, and a house guest that helps with his. Life will be interesting this summer.
