Frugal Challenge Saturday - Kids clothes
My goal when buying my kids their clothes is to not spend more than $3.50 on any given summer outfit. I have splurged a little this year and have averaged $4/outfit just because I haven’t had much to choose from this year. My challenge to you is to do your homework and keep under a certain budget for clothes. Utilize yard sales and consignment shops as much as possible. The other single greatest blessing I have found is hand-me-downs. Parents, this does not count towards your average so don’t get excited. The challenge is to pick a price that you want to stick with and don’t go over it. Force yourself to stay within your budget and enjoy the time when your kids aren’t yet into name brands and fashion statements. My goal is to get my kids into liking a financial challenge. Godd shopping everyone.

I found some great yard sales today and last Saturday. Today I went to a few yard sales and clothes were .25-.50 and they were nice clothes too. I got some Disney sweatshirts, Carolina Panthers jacket, Carters stuff, nice winter dresses, and even some stuff with tags. I’m so pleased with my deals.

Yard sales and consignment shops are my bestfriends. I was at a latter 3 weeks ago. I found baby clothes that were like .50 cents, $1. the highest I paid was $1.50.

I agree that the BEST deals are at yard sales. At this point in my pregnancy, I have 6 wks left, I am just about pooped out by the time I finish with lunch some days so I try to stretch my energy requirements out. I can definitely tell I am older this time.
