Free entertainment for kids

by kellys on October 24th, 2007

I have to tell you about my daughter, Turkey Butt!  She cracks me up.  I might not be the best parent but I let her on my computer to get stuff done around the house when my son, Little Man, is happy.  She goes to Noggin and Nick Jr. and plays the games adn colors ethe characters.  I could let her play that for an hour and she would be fine.  My husbnad has my computer locked so tight that she can’t go anywhere inappropriate so I don’t worry about that.

For instance, I worry about leaving a 2.5 year old who likes to get into things alone ot take a shower now that she is in her big girl bed and not carroulled in a crib.  So today, I put her on my bed when Little Man was sleeping and let her play on the computer.  She stayed put and had a ball.  For hte first time in 2 years, I got a shower with my kids in the house and they weren’t crying!  YEAH for me.

Anyway, the games are free and my daughter loves them.  I can’t thin of a better idea than free entertainment for the kids.

I loved it so much when my kids were smaller that I made a webpage portal just for them so I knew where they were going. (http://www.shamusyoung.com/kidsportal/kidshome.html) I keep it online because friend’s used it with their kids as well. The following is the link to the youngest’s page (my older two each had a page of their favorites but the following is for 2 and 3 year olds.) http://www.shamusyoung.com/kidsportal/Issac.html–the great thing is that it only has “safe” sites for them with no ads for them to click.

Thanks for the other sites. I will make a list of other kid friendly sites in a few days.

When they’re in school check out Millsberry.com. I have a ton more free game recommendations so let me know if you ever need them!
