Consignment store vs Carter’s Outlet
My sister, Whitney (I just love her name), isn’t as fortunate as we bargain shoppers with consignment stores are. There just aren’t as many options for her in resale as there is for me. So she is always talking about her Carter’s outlet near her house. Well, I got to see her outfits and pajamas that she bought my niece on sale. She says she paid no more than $7 for the PJ’s so I went today to look and see. The clothes were adorable as all Carter’s stuff is. I even got some onezies for next year. 24-month onezies are hard to find used without any stains and they were on sale for $3.19. It was more than I wanted to spend but still a great deal as they go for $11 in a regular store. I also got some pajamas for KM as well. I paid too much for them but they, also, are hard to find after about 12 months. So I splurged. Make sure, if you don’t have a good selection of resale and consignment shops around that you take full advantage of the outlet stores around you. As much grief as my sister likes to give me about being cheap when it comes to children’s clothes, she has a winner in her Carter’s outlet store down the street. Just be careful. Some outlet stores get flawed clothing and although most of those are wearable, some need mending. Way to go!
