Consignment sales are the BEST!
OK. So I am weird. I love to save money. I also love to get my daughter the cutest clothes without having to go back to work full time to pay for it. That being said… I am really excited about an upcoming event in my area. There is a great consignment sale that happens twice a year. Last fall, I got my daughter, K, 9 winter outfits and a nice high chair for $20.60. You just can’t beat that! I am looking forward to this Spring’s event. Take advantage of your local consignment stores and yard sales. Granted, yard sales take up much more time but the deals are the best around. I never actually went yard selling until I had my little girl. Now I think it will be a habit I will enjoy developing. As for my local consignment store, Once Upon a Child, I am hooked. I actually have to limit my visits because there are so many good deals on clothes that my daughter can’t wear all of them and I need to spend my money elsewhere. However, I did find her Easter dress there for $6.50. I actually left it there the first time I saw it because I didn’t want to spend that much. But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that it was a $30 dress and it was too cute leave a second time. I can’t wait to see her in it! Enjoy shopping and keep saving those pennies. Remember, a thrifty shopper is a wise shopper who can buy twice as much :)
