Ways to save money when buying formula

So for some reason, I have lost my ability to nurse Little Man.  I am hoping my milk will come back soon.  But I can certainly see the other side of the coin these days.  It is very disheartening to have to pump and get only 2 oz at a time.  It makes me want […]

A sneaky way to save some money at the grocery store

I recently heard Clark Howard say that you can save up to 30% at the grocery store simply by buying store brands. Hum … That makes a lot of sense. The stores also tend to put their store brand on sale before they put the name brands on sale. Something else that you might not […]

Want a great dinner for a special celebration?  How about going out to the Outback Steakhouse?  This month, they are celebrating their 20th birthday with specials created just for your taste-buds.  Not to mention that the Bloomin’ Onion was developed with the help of an “onion-ologist” at Texas A&M (this Texan is grinning).  How cool […]

Opinions keep you from wasting money

I an a firm believer in the fact that opinions will keep you from wasting your money.  So what are your opinions on travel booster seats?  Do you like the ones that hook onto the table or the ones that tie onto the chair?  I am in need of one but don’t know what ot […]

Can you become a freegan?

Oprah had a video on her site about freegans and a trash tour.  I think the freegan life is the ultimate free life style.  But I have a confession to make, I could never do it!  There is something about digging into the trash that just grosses me out!  I know what is in my […]

Quick and Easy Mac n Cheesy

I had my heart set on Macaroni n Cheese with our ribs tonight but I didn’t have any in the cabinet.  My stock pile isn’t anything like Karen’s tonight so I had to wing it.  Turns out, I did a not so bad job and thought I would share it with you.  My family liked […]
