A new page for Thrifty Mommy
We at Thrifty Mommy realize that there are all kinds of folks that we are blessed to have reading our rants. Some are short like Karen and I, sorry girlfriend but you know you are, and some are tall. Some are in the US and some are in Europe and some in Asia. We are learning from all of you just as we hope you take little tid bits from us. So I decided to add one more dimension to Thrifty Mommy. I decided to be daring in hopes that I don’t offend any readers but will not change the new addition if I do.
If you look to the right side of our blog, you will see that there are several pages you can view. These pages are set aside and available quickly. Well, I decided to be a little risky and place a prayer page up for anyone who wants to post a prayer request. Karen and I love to pray and would love to pray for you and your life. So if you want prayer for any reason, feel free to leave a comment and know that you are loved and prayed for. As the Prayer Page states, there will be no negative or inappropriate comments published. This is the only page we sensor stringently as we want to protect all of you who are willing to participate. So go over and feel free to leave a prayer request or pray for one.
Thanks for indulging us in this.

PS. WE are trying to get the comments section to work on the Prayer Page so leave your prayer requests here for now.

Oh, a prayer request. lol
Pray for everyone as they are traveling this week. Pray for our troops that are away from home. I hear that morale is very good over there, but I know it is hard being away from home for the holidays.

Please pray for my family. My grandfather is in the stages of Alzheimer’s and unfortunately he is a danger to himself and others. We are having a difficult and emotional time trying to find a nursing home to accommodate his needs. Please pray that we find the best place for him.

This is fabulous! Here’s a woman who could use all of our prayers…I ran across her site yesterday and her story broke my heart into a million little pieces. Please pray for Debi! Here’s some background information: http://dsimple.wordpress.com/where-things-stand-today/
Thanks, Karen!

For my brother - he has Crohn’s and a wedding coming up. He may need another surgery and he’s trying to put it off until after the wedding…pray that cures are discovered for all these diseases, too. I know that’s a big one, but prayers do get answered. My friend’s son had bone cancer and they recently found spots on his lungs. He was about to start the chemo again, but he insisted he be scanned first! He told the doctor that he believed he was healed. The scan showed NOTHING. The doctors didn’t believe it so they are going back later this week for another scan. That’s a prayer of thanksgiving! I appreciate this new page…I am thanking God we can stay connected this way…Amen =)

Well, I don’t even know if I should be wasting prayer energy on this, but I need prayers for an email comment from a qualified expert for the article I am writing. I fear I am going to miss my deadline, lose a hefty fee and have a pretty slim Christmas.

Kate, there is no such thing as wasted prayer energy! Did you get the email in time?

No exactly. I asked my editor for more time and got it. I think everything will be just fine, even if it hasn’t gone according to plan.

Hey guys, I love the idea of this page! Kudos to Kelly and Karen :) If you have some time tomorrow around noon PST, I’d love some prayers as I learn if I need heart surgery. I’m kind of freaked out… Here’s the post on it: http://sleepyblogger.com/?p=734

Please pray for my brother. He’s having a hard time with where his bad decisions have taken him. Sometimes he’s so depressed, and it really worries me that he will do something harmful to himself. Please pray that he will find hope from God instead of getting upset when we mention Him.

Answer to prayer: we are going forward with foster care! And the state adoption social worker is working with our county social worker to find children we can adopt. God’s plan has once again proven perfect, even if we did question His timing along the way!
Prayer request for Crunchy Chicken’s family…go to http://www.crunchychicken.blogspot.com to read about it. Pray for strength, acceptance and wisdom. We really need to lift them up…Thanks!

TJ has given up playing baseball because he is very depressed and had played ball competitively for 10 years, but there are obstacles only prayer and God can remove. Pray for TJ’s guidance/courage in overcoming the obstacles that is holding him back and preventing him from pursuing his dreams and goals. He needs to know God’s hand is upon him helping him to obtain his goals. His instructors said he is capable of getting scholarship if he continues to work hard, but obstacles has drained his hope away. We are older parents that do not have much and his heart was so set on a scholarship till obstacles got him down that he can’t get up.
