A cheap way to decorate Easter baskets.

by kellys on April 13th, 2006

I love the way some people decorate for Easter.  When we were little kids, we would ride in the back of my Papaw’s truck and collect moss from the oak trees to make our Easter nests out of to put our eggs in when we went in the front yard and had our family Easter egg hunt.  You don’t get any cheaper than that for a basket.  But today, you have to have all that stuff to put in the bottom of your basket to help make it look pretty.

Instead of paying for it, why don’t you take your leftover paper from letters, or old holiday cards and shred them.  They would make great “Easter grass” for nothing.  I have to make a disclaimer here.  I honestly don’t remember where I got this idea from.  But I have to tell you that it wasn’t mine.  I do like it though.easter baskets.jpg

I just found the site where I found the grass idea. As usual, Pat from frugal living has some great ideas on how to make Easter not break the bank.
